ASL offers a beautiful option for deaf, hearing-impaired, and hearing individuals.
There are between 350 and 430 languages spoken in the United States of America, American Sign Language, also known as ASL, it is the third most commonly used language in the United States, after English and Spanish. ASL is an elegant, beautiful and expressive form of communication that contains a complete vocabulary and grammar that can be expressed through physical movements of the hands and arms rather than speech.

ASL is believed to of emerged as a language in the American School for the Deaf (ASD), founded by Thomas Gallaudet in 1817, which brought together Old French Sign Language, various village sign languages, and home sign systems.
